Part 1:

(ruby and Danny enter)

Danny: hey so i was wondering..

ruby: yeah?

Danny: (deep breath) well you see i was supposed to go-

       (ivy runs in and pushes ruby and Danny   apart)

ivy: so ruby, did you hear about that new video game that just came out its really cool! My favorite part is the….

(by now ivy has his arm around ruby and has guided him off. Danny   sighs. Fi enters)

fi : sooooo! Did you ask him?!

Danny: no

fi : WHAT! We have been rehearsing this for days! It was very simple. You walk up to him and say “i was supposed to go ice skating this weekend with Fi but she wasn't able to come. There is an ice skating rink down the street from my house that i can walk to. So i was wondering if maybe you want to come. It could be like a date.. Kind of. Or not, it doesn't have to be. It could just be as friends.”

Danny: i know.. I got to the “well you see i was supposed to go” part but then ivy came over and starting talking about video games.

fi : ivy!!!!!! I'm going to kill that boy! We worked hard to come up with what you should say and it took all your courage to go up and try to say it. AND HE RUINED IT

Danny: you do realize there is no way i'm going to even try to say that to ruby again right?

fi: i know.

Danny: thanks anyway. It was nice of you to try, but let's face it ivy will never let that happen.

fi: don't be pessimistic! Think positive!

Danny: (smiles) your right!

fi: so are you ready to try again ruby's right over there?

Danny: not happening

fi: dang it.

Danny: come on let's go to lunch.

          (Fi and Danny   exit. ruby and ivy enter)

ruby: i wonder what Danny   was going to ask me.

ivy: probably nothing important.

ruby: it might not be important to me or you but Danny   seemed really nervous when she was talking to me and Danny   is never nervous so it must of been important to her.

ivy: maybe she was going to ask you to be her boyfriend (says teasingly)

ruby: maybe she was. I'm going to go ask her!

                              (ruby runs off)

ivy: wait! I was kidding!

                             (ivy runs off)

(Fi and Danny   enter and slowly walk across the stage when they are a quarter of the way across ruby runs in and over to Danny)

ruby: wait Danny   so what did you want to say to me?

    (Fi nudges Danny   with her arm and then exits)

Danny: oh um… i was supposed to-

                                (ivy runs on)

ivy: what are you talking about?

ruby: stop interrupting Danny! (turns toward Danny) sorry.

Danny: it's fine. Anyway, i was supposed to go ice skating with Fi this weekend. There is a rink right up the street from my house. And i was wondering if you wanted to go? It would be-

ivy: ice skating! I love to ice skate!

ruby: um.. No you don't.

Isiah: shut up. Can i come too, Danny. Please!

Danny: oh um sure…

ruby: wait, ivy! You cut off Danny   s sentence again! What were you about to say?

Danny: oh um.. That it would be..

                   (ivy glares at Danny)

Danny: Fun! Just that it would be fun. Nothing that important… im going to go now so um.. Bye!

                   (Danny walks off quickly)

ivy: um.. I have to talk to Danny   for a second.. Bye.

(ivy walks off. Fi enters. Fi walks across the stage and pauses next to ruby)

fi : you really can't take a hint

                            (Fi exits)

ruby: what?

          (ruby shrugs and exits.ivy and Danny   enter)

Danny: yes?

ivy: why were you about to ask ruby out on a date?

Danny: first of all how the heck do you know that. Second of all because I like him.

ivy: well don't. He doesn't like you like that and he never will. And honestly i'm not sure how ruby didn't realize that's what you were trying to do, it was obvious.

Danny: um, how do you know that ruby doesn't want to be my boyfriend?

ivy: he's told me

Danny: really? Well he's told me the opposite

ivy: okay fine, he does like you and i know you like him, but i am his friend and you are not going to steal him from me!

Danny: what are you talking about? I'm not trying to steal him from you! you really think i would steal ruby from you, you have got to be kidding me! I would never do that because i know how horrible it feels for the person who is left out.

ivy: just stay away from him.

Danny: no!

ivy: if you don't stay away from him then i'll make up a rumor that you actually like Max and that your just trying to make him jealous by hanging out with ruby.

Danny: he wouldn't believe you

ivy: he would if i had proof

Danny: what do you mean proof?

                    (ivy exits. Fi enters)

Danny: you know what..

fi : what?

Danny: i honestly wouldn't care if you did kill him

fi : what did he do now?

Danny: that idiot told me to stay away from ruby or else he would tell ruby that i actually like Max and that i'm only pretending to like ruby to make Max jealous.

fi : HOW DARE HE!!

Danny: and apparently he is going to come ice skating with me and ruby.

fi : he's dead (through gritted teeth)

Danny: what should i do? I told him ruby wouldn't believe that if he told him i liked Max but he said he would if he has proof.

fi : what do you mean proof?

Danny: That what i said! And then he just walked away! Should i just pretend he didn't say that and hang out with ruby like always, but what if ivy does have proof or something that looks like proof and then he shows it to ruby!

fi : i have an idea. But i can't tell you here incase hes listening to us. Lets go.

         (Fi and Danny   exit. ruby and ivy enter)

ruby: do you know where Danny   went? I want to talk to her

ivy: why do you want to talk to her?

ruby: she's been acting weird today and i want to make sure she's okay.

ivy: why do you care so much about her. It's just Danny

ruby: exactly. I care about her so much because she is Danny

ivy: well you shouldn't. She's just a girl trying to get your attention. Its stupid.

ruby: she is not just trying to get my attention! What do you have against her!?!

ivy: i...i don't have anything against her yet. But i don't think she is telling you the complete truth.

ruby: what's that supposed to mean?

ivy: bye!

                                  (ivy exits)

ruby: ivy!

                                      (Danny enters)

ruby: Danny! I've been looking for you everywhere!

Danny: why?

ruby: oh….well…...um…. Because you were kind of acting weird.

Danny: im fine.

ruby: are you sure cause when you were talking about the ice skating thing you kinda seemed like you wanted to say….something..else

Danny: oh.. Well i kind of...just..

 (ivy walks on stage behind ruby and glares at Danny)

Danny: actually i can't go ice skating this weekend so just forget about it.

ruby: oh um… okay

                           (ivy exits.)

Danny: bye

ruby: um bye

 (ruby and Danny   exit from opposite sides. Fi enters)

fi : where is she!

          (Fi paces across the stage. Danny   enters)

Danny: hey, sorry i ran into ruby on the way. So why did we have to split up?

fi : to make sure ivy didn't get suspicious. So now that we are where ivy cant hear us. I have a plan

Danny: he can still hear us. Were just in the basement under the school.

fi : okay fine, where he cant find us.

Danny: okay so what's your plan?

fi : well what if you just don't talk to ruby

Danny: um… isn't that exactly what ivy wants me to do?

fi : no he wants you to be rude or try to get ruby not to be your friend.. But if you just walk away from him whenever he tries to speak to you and then stare at him in class and cast longing glances towards him at recess.

Danny: yes! Cause then he will get suspicious of why i'm not talking to him and he will figure out that ivy did that! It's perfect!

Frona: okay. So its a plan right? No texting, calling, facetiming, or talking to him at all.

Danny: it's going to be hard. But yes, its a plan.

          (Danny and Fi do a Catish handshake)

fi : okay it's official. Danny   will not talk to ruby until he figures out ivy's plan.

Danny: yep. There's no going back now. We did a catish handshake on it so i have to do it. You can't break a catish handshake

fi : you ready?

Danny: lets do it

        (Danny and Fi exit. ivy and ruby enter)

ruby: why is Danny   acting so weird?

ivy: she's Danny. what do you expect? Her and Fi are both crazy.

ruby: no it's not her usual craziness. It's more like somethings on her mind that she wants to tell me but she cant or wont.

ivy: you figured all of that out just because of the way she was acting?!

ruby: well she is my best friend

ivy: at least for now she is (whispering)

ruby: huh?

ivy: i have to go. Bye!

                               (ivy exits)

ruby: um.. Bye? Now where is Danny?

                 (ruby exits. Fi and Danny   enter)

fi : okay now where is ruby?

Danny: there he is

fi : quick! Pretend like we are having a conversation

Danny: oh! Um.. nac mew abla cat?

fi : hi. Strut est mer word?

Danny: mey word est Danny

                   (ruby enters)

ruby: Danny! There you are!

fi : (to Danny) mey word est fi

ruby: what are you doing?

fi : practicing Catish

ruby: oh.. Um.. okay.

fi : why did you want to find Danny?

ruby: i want to talk to her.

fi : okay go ahead

ruby: uh.. Without you here.

fi : well maybe she doesn't want to talk to you.

ruby: shouldn't that be Danny   s choice?

(by now Danny   is slowly backing away and is almost off stage)

fi : well Danny   doesn't want to talk to anyone right now.

ruby: again, shouldn't that be Danny   s choice?

fi : it IS Danny   s choice

ruby: THEN WHY CAN'T SHE TELL ME THAT!
                       (Danny exits)

fi : just stop! Why can't you just get it through you head that SHE DOESN'T WANT TO TALK TO YOU!
ruby: i don't care if she doesn't want to talk to me. I'm going to talk to her because SHE IS MY BEST FRIEND

(Fi and ruby continue yelling at each other as they exit. Danny   enters and ivy enters from the opposite side)

Danny: oh. Hi

ivy: good job. You followed what i told you to do. You didnt talk to him

Danny: how did you know that?

ivy: i was watching you.

Danny: yeah…..

ivy: oh here comes ruby. I have to go or he will get suspicious. And DON'T talk to him. And if you do. Be rude.

Danny: okay

                      (ivy exits. ruby enters)

ruby: whew! I finally lost fi .

Danny: …

ruby: i know you said you were fine earlier but your still acting weird and im worried. What's wrong?

                            (Danny shrugs)

ruby: um.. Are you okay? Cause now i'm really worried

(Danny   shrugs and exits. ruby falls to the ground and ivy enters)

ivy: are you okay?

ruby: Danny   wont talk to me! I don't know what i did wrong! She always talks to me. Even if it's just sadly saying that she feels awful or to tell me to go away. She still at least talks to me! But now all she could do was shrug and she wouldn't even look at me! Whatever happened is really upsetting her. She's NEVER acted like this before!

ivy: it's probably just girl drama with a friend

ruby: no, Danny   doesn't really get into drama and if she does she doesnt act like this about it.

ivy: maybe it's her way of showing you that\

She doesn't want to be your friend anymore.

ruby: she wouldn't do that.

ivy: you don't know everything about her. Maybe she would do that.

ruby: i..i don't know. It's not convincing.

ivy: well stop thinking about it. Do you want to come over after school? We can play video games!

ruby: sure.

ivy: cool. See you later

ruby: bye.

                          (ivy exits)

ruby: i guess i should go to Science.

           (ruby exits. Fi and Danny   enter)

fi : okay, its time for science. ivy isn't in this class so he won't be able to see you if your staring at ruby.

Danny: okay.

(Fi and Danny   walk over and sit down. ruby enters and sits down in the seat next to Danny   s)

Teacher: okay class! Today we are going to study genetics!

Class: yay (not very enthusiastic)

Teacher: now take out your text books and read pages 236 through 240.

(everyone takes out there text books and starts reading. ruby looks at Danny   and Danny looks back and smiles. ruby looks confused. They both go back to reading for a second. Then Danny   looks at ruby again)

Teacher: okay class. Time to go. Bye.

(everyone exits. Danny   enters and walks across the stage and then ruby runs on and catches up with her)

ruby: wait, Danny!

                        (Danny turns to face him)

ruby: if your not mad at me then why did you look at me and smile in science?

(Danny   shrugs then lifts up her hand as in saying goodbye and then begins to walk away)

ruby: wait!

                                 (Danny stops)

ruby: i don't get it. Why aren't you talking to me? Did i do something wrong?

                       (Danny shakes her head no)

ruby: then why wont you talk to me

                                  (Danny exits)

ruby: maybe it's like a dare or something. No it can't be a dare, Danny   wouldn't do that. Maybe someone made her. Hmm, but who would… oh no.

                (ruby exits. ivy and Danny   enter)

ivy: did you talk to him?

Danny: no.

ivy: did you show him you don't want to ever talk to him again?

Danny: yes

ivy: liar!

(ruby enters from behind ivy. Danny   sees him but doesn't pay attention, he stays in the corner)

Danny: what are you talking about! I'm not lying!

ivy: you smiled at him in science.

Danny: how do you know that. You aren't in our science class.

ivy: yeah but ruby asked you about it after science class. I heard you.

Danny: well maybe i did.

ivy: I told you not to talk to him!

ruby: you told her not to talk to who?

ivy: oh.. Um ruby. I told her not to talk to max anymore.

ruby: Danny?

Danny: you know what, ivy! I don't know why i listened to you. ruby would've believed me no matter what fake proof you had.

ivy: wait, Danny   what are you about to do?

Danny: ivy told me i wasn't allowed to talk to you anymore. And he said that if i did he would show you some proof that he has that shows i'm just pretending to like you to make Max jealous.

ruby: ivy! Why the heck would you do that!

ivy: jerk!

                        (ivy exits)

ruby: he is so rude! I'm never talking to him again.

Danny: what! You can't do that!

ruby: and why not? He was rude to you and pretty much blackmailed you.

Danny: he's just jealous that you never hang out with him anymore.

ruby: i do hang ou-

Danny: no you don't. Your always hanging out with me. You never even talk to him.

ruby: thats not tr-

Danny: stop denying it. You know it's true. Now go talk to him.

ruby: but i don't want t-

Danny: pleeeeeease!

ruby: fine

Danny: thank you!

                    (ruby exits. Fi enters)

fi : well?

Danny: well?

fi : did our plan work?

Danny: yeah

fi : so he hates ivy now?

Danny: no. i told him to go talk to ivy. I want them to still be friends. I mean it's not ivy's fault. He was just jealous that ruby was only hanging out with me.

fi : wait ruby just went to talk to ivy?

Danny: yeah.

fi : lets go.

Danny: where?

fi : to watch

        (Danny and Fi exit. ruby and ivy enter)

ivy: what do you want?

ruby: i'm sorry i got so mad, but what you did wasn't right. You should've told me you were sad i wasn't hanging out with you as much

(Danny   and Fi enter and stand to the side so the boys cant see them)

ivy: i know i should of. Sorry.

ruby:  okay. So are we good now?

ivy: will you actually hang out with me some and not just Danny?

ruby: yeah

ivy: then yeah we're good.

ruby: cool

fi : stop being so possessive over ruby, ivy!

                 (every one exits. Bows are taken)

 

Part 2:

(Ruby, Danny, fi, and Lillian enter. Danny sits down in a chair in the circle and ruby sits in the chair next to hers. Fi is about to sit in the chair on the other side of Danny but then Lillian pushes her out of the way)

Lillian: hi Danny!

Danny: um… hi

(Goes back to talking to ruby)

Lillian: so…. what are you doing?

ruby: bye Lillian!

Danny: don’t be rude.

Lillian: what did you do over the weekend?

ruby: well I went to this really cool concert and saw-

Lillian: I was asking Danny.

Danny: oh. Well I didn’t do much. Practiced throwing knives at a tree. It was fun. How about you?

Lillian : I played video games all weekend

Danny: nice. Well I’ve gotta go to Language Arts now. Bye

Lillian : bye!

ruby: bye.

(Danny   exits)

ruby: what was that?

Lillian : what?

ruby: you wouldn’t let me talk to Danny.

Lillian : oh. Oops.

(Lillian exits)

ruby: HEY!!!!

(ruby exits. Danny   enters with fi )

Danny: finally! Recess!

fi : yay!

Danny: yay!

(Lillian enters)

Lillian : hey Danny! Wanna come play basketball with me?

Danny: sure. Is ruby going to play with us?

Lillian : no. Why should he need to? You can’t just play basketball with me?

Danny: well I guess I can… I was just wondering cause-

Lillian: let’s go!

(Lillian and Danny exit. ruby enters)

ruby: where are they going?

fi : basketball

ruby: cool

(ruby exits in the same direction as Danny   and Lillian )

fi : no one appreciates me. First I get pushed out of the way by Lillian , then abandoned by Danny, and then ruby doesn’t even thank me for telling him where Lillian and Danny are going. fi ’s are people too!

(Fi exits. Danny   and Lillian Enter with Danny   holding a basketball. Danny starts to dribble)

Danny: meow

(They play basketball for a minute. ruby enters)

ruby: Danny! Can I talk to you for a minute!?!

Danny: sure! Sorry Lillian. I’ll be back in a minute.

Lillian: it’s fine

(Danny walks over to ruby. Lillian dribbles offstage)

Danny: yes?

ruby: hi

Danny: seriously

ruby: you want to come over this weekend?

Danny: well that’s really random. Why do you ask?

ruby: I don’t know. I guess I was just thinking the other day and couldn’t remember the last time we hung out out of school.

Danny: two weekends ago

ruby: oh yeah… so you wanna come over this weekend. Saturday. We could go to the park or something

Danny: sure. I’m going to play basketball with Lillian now. Bye

ruby: bye.

(ruby exits)

Danny: Lillian!

(Lillian enters dribbling)

Danny: I can play again.

(Danny grabs the basketball from his hands and starts dribbling)

Lillian: what did ruby want?

Danny: he wanted to know if I could come over to his house Saturday.

Lillian: why? (says quickly)

Danny: because i’m his friend..

Lillian: can i come?

Danny: well. I don’t really think…

                    (Lillian looks at Danny sadly)

Danny: well you could ask him. I guess

Lillian: yay!

Danny: oh dang it, it's time to go inside. I'll play basketball with you tomorrow. Sorry.

Lillian: cool, sounds good. Lets go

  (Danny and Lillian exit talking. Fi and ruby enter)

ruby: hey!

fi: why are you talking to me?

ruby: because were friends?

fi: we are? Wow, you learn a new thing everyday!

ruby: wow. You are very nice (sarcastically)

fi: so what do you want?

ruby: okay. I was wondering if-

fi: no.

ruby: but i never finished my question.

fi: fine. Continue..

ruby: i was wondering if you think Lillian is trying to steal Danny?

fi: yeah. Okay, bye

ruby: wait, you do?

fi: well obviously! Oh look here comes Lillian. I bet he's going to say something about Danny, and you not hanging out with her

(Fi exits. Lillian enters)

Lillian: hi

ruby: hey..

Lillian: I heard Danny is coming over to your house Saturday.

ruby: yeah, she is.

Lillian: what are you guys going to do?

ruby: i don't know. Go to the park, maybe.

Lillian: can i come?!?

ruby: uh… well i don't really think-

Lillian: oh! I get it! You and Danny are going on a date so i can't come. You hear that everyone! Danny and ruby are going on a da-

          (ruby slaps his hand over Lillian's mouth)

ruby: no we are not!

Lillian: then why can't i come! Huh?

ruby: fine! You can come!

Lillian: really!

(Danny enters)

Lillian: hey Danny! Guess what?

Danny: what!

Lillian: i’m coming with you and ruby to the park Saturday!

Danny: oh! (realizes what he said) oh…

(Danny looks at ruby. ruby looks back)

ruby: yeah, he is..

Danny: Lillian? Can i talk to ruby for a minute. Please?

(Lillian doesn’t move)

Danny: alone.

Lillian: Why? You don’t want me to hear you ask him why im coming with you guys on your date?

Danny: (through gritted teeth) i said Alone!

(Lillian exits)

Danny: why is Lillian coming with us?

ruby: it’s not my fault! I couldn't help it! He started screaming “Danny and ruby are going on a date” I couldn't do anything else except tell him he could come

Danny: oh. Well it's not like we were going on a date anyway. So its cool if he comes. I mean were just going to the park. It'll just be the three of us hanging out! Although, you seem kind of upset about it. How come?

ruby: to be honest the reason I invited you was because I wanted to hang out with you without Lillian interrupting me. It kind of feels like he's trying to get between us and keep us away from hanging out with each other, like Ivy always does.

Danny: yeah, but don't worry. It's not like i'm going to abandon you and always hang out with Lillian instead. Me and you, we will always be friends.

ruby: (smiles) i know. It's time to go.

Danny: cool. See you Saturday!

ruby: yeah!

(Danny and Ruby exit from opposite directions. Fi enters with Lillian)

Lillian: i can’t wait until Saturday!

Fi: yeah…

Lillian: are you coming?

Fi: why would i want to hang out with you and Ruby? Even if Danny is there

Lillian: well because it would be fun and were your friends

Fi: no. Danny is my friend, and i don’t like you.

Lillian: fine!

(Lillian exits. Danny enters)

Danny: Hey!

Fi: hi. Are you really hanging out with (says disgustedly) Lillian this weekend?

Danny: sadly

Fi: where are you guys going?

Danny: ruby said that maybe we could go to the park or something.

Fi: what park?

Danny: now sure.

Fi: when you find out tell me.

Danny: why?

Fi: because if you three get lost in the woods and never come back i'll know where to look for you.

Danny: i dont think thats your real reason

Fi: maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. It can remain a mystery!

(Fi runs off)

Danny: hey! Come back!

(Danny runs off after Fi. Lillian enters)

Lillian: la la la la la la la la

(Fi runs across the stage. Danny runs halfway across then stops)

Danny: oh. Hi

Lillian: hey. Why are chasing Fi?

Danny: reasons. What are you doing?

Lillian: not sure.

(awkward silence)

Danny: so….

Lillian: so…. Are you going to hang out with me saturday?

Danny: well, i am going to the park with you AND Ruby. so i guess i'll hang out with both of you

Lillian: (says disappointedly) oh.

(Ruby enters)

Ruby: uh.. Hi. (starts to turn around and walk off)

Danny: hey! Come back!

Ruby: fine.

(ruby slowly walks over to stand next to Danny)

Danny: Fi was wondering what park we are going to tomorrow. A.K.A Saturday

Lillian: why?

Danny: don't know.

Ruby: not sure exactly. I'll text you the place later.

Lillian: you mean both of us the place later?

Ruby: yeah. I guess.

(Fi runs on)

Fi: hey Danny! It's time to leave! Woooooo! Friday!

Danny: woooooo! Lets go!

(Danny and Fi run off together)

Ruby: well i'm gonna go…

Lillian: okay, bye. See you tomorrow!

Ruby: (not enthusiastically at all) yeah. See you tomorrow!

(Ruby and Lillian exit from opposite sides. Danny enters)

Danny: okay. This is where i'm supposed to meet them. So where are they.

(Danny paces back and forth for about 30 seconds. Then Ruby enters)

Ruby: oh hey, you’re already here!

Danny: yeah. Why wouldn't i be?

Ruby: well Lillian isn't here.

Danny: should we wait for him?

Ruby and Danny: no.

Danny: oh well.

(ruby and Danny start to walk off talking. Lillian enters)

Lillian: hey, guys!

(ruby and Danny turn around and walk back)

Ruby: oh hey Lillian..

Danny: you showed up…

Lillian: where were you guys going? Weren't you going to wait for me?

Ruby: n-

Danny: (nudges Ruby with her elbow) of course we were going to wait for you.

Lillian: yay! So what do you guys wanna do?

Ruby: don’t know.

Danny: how about we walk around the park.

Ruby: sure.

Lillian: yeah!

(ruby and Lillian walk off. Danny hears a rustle and looks around suspiciously. Then she exits. Ruby enters with Lillian. When they are half way across the stage Danny runs in and catches up with them)

Lillian: there you are!

Danny: sorry, i um… triped….

Ruby: are you okay?

Danny: of course i am! I mean i am Danny.

Ruby: true.

(ruby and Danny start to walk off together but when there a few steps from exiting lillian walks over and pushes Ruby out of the way)

Lillian: so Danny. How are you?

Danny: lillian, you can’t just push Ruby out of the way.

Lillian: why not?

Ruby: because it's rude!

Danny: yes, and because i was talking to him.

Lillian: but i want to talk to you!

Danny: then you could join in our conversation.

Lillian: i guess…..(says really sadly)

(fi jumps out in front of them and Ruby, Lillian, and Danny all jump back)

Fi: Stop being possessive over Danny, Lillian!

Lillian: am not!

(blackout)

Part 3:

    (Fi, Ruby, Danny, Ivy, and Lillian enter with their lunch boxes and sit down at a table together)

Fi: yay! Lunch time! Lets see what i have.

Danny: quesadilla.

Fi: (opens lunch box) dang it. Why do i always get a stupid quesadilla? I'm sick of them.

Danny: don't know.

Ruby: (opens up lunch box and takes food out) i have food.

Ivy: same.

Lillian: wait, ruby whats that in the bottom of your lunch box?

Ruby: whats what?

Lillian: that. (Lillian points into the lunch box at the bottom of it)

Ivy: you mean the bottom of his lunch box?

Lillian: why is it like totally black?

Danny: yeah, it didn't used to be that way.

Fi: weird…

Ruby: i don't know. I don't remember it being completely black.

(ruby touches the inside of the lunch box and then tries to take his hand out but its stuck)

Ruby: my hand won't come out!

Danny: what!?

Ivy: danny, do something!

Danny: why me!?

Lillian: cause you’re actually brave!

Danny: true…

Fi: just do something!

(Danny grabs the lunch box and tries pulling it off of Ruby's hand, but its stuck. Ruby suddenly is pushed backwards across the room and then exits backwards still being pushed by the lunchbox on his hand)

Danny, Fi, Lillian, Ivy: RUBY!!!!

(Danny, Fi, Lillian, and Ivy all run off where Ruby disappeared to. They enter back on. Danny is holding Ruby's lunch box)

Danny: he's gone…

Fi: how did that happen?

Ivy: what did just happen?

Lillian: is he going to come back?

Danny: i don't know.

Ivy: what do we do?

Fi: if we tell anyone they will this we are insane.

Lillian: but Ruby is trapped inside that lunchbox.

(a bell rings)

Danny: it's time to go to our next class. We will try to think of something later.

Ivy: but what will we say happened to Ruby?

Lillian: we could say he got sick?

Fi: yeah! And then he got picked up and went home, but forgot to bring his stuff with him?

Danny: i guess that works.

(lillian and Ivy exit)

Fi: this is strange…

Danny: i didn't want to say this in front of Ivy and Lillian, but what if its Max?

Fi: yeah… that weird Max thing. Like a ghost or something that took control of Robert a few months ago…

Danny: what if she came back and is possessing Ruby's lunchbox now….

Fi: it's possible. Maybe we should ask Robert about it?

Danny: no. we can’t remember?

Fi: remember what?

Danny: Robert doesn't remember what happened to him.

Fi: oh yeah.

Danny: and anyway, he's switching schools after this year so…..

Fi: it's still a strange coincidence.

Danny: yeah..

(danny and Fi exit. Ivy enters)

Ivy: time to leave schoo-

(Danny and Fi run on with Rubies lunchbox)

Danny: IVY!!!!!!
FI: IVYYYYYYY!!!!

Ivy: what!!?

Danny: its lillian

Fi: he picked up the lunchbox

Danny: he said he would take it home with him today

Fi: and then he disappeared into it!

Danny: what are we going to do!?

Ivy: calm down! It's fine (is getting really nervous and talking fast) everything fine. Right? I mean just a few missing kids… no one will notice. Let's just leave school and worry about this tomorrow. Okay?

Danny: i don't know! I'm scared. I don't want to be taken into the lunch box!

Fi: neither do I!

Ivy: maybe.. Maybe there's something we’re missing.. Something that will make them reappear! Like a key of something?

Fi: maybe..

Danny: it's possible…..

Fi: see you guys tomorrow then…

Danny: i’ll take the lunch box home…

Ivy: okay.

(Ivy exits)

Danny: this is getting weirder.

Fi: yeah..

(danny and fi exit. Ivy enters, walking across the stage)

Ivy: another day…. (gets to other side of the stage and walks off)

Ivy: (offstage) AHHH-

(danny runs on holding Ruby's lunch box)

Danny: fi!

(fi runs on)

Fi: what happened!?

Danny: i set down the lunch box to put something in my locker and Ivy accidentally stepped on it..

Fi: don’t tell me he…

Danny: (nods sadly) he’s gone too..

Fi: dang it! What are we supposed to do now?

Danny: i.. I don’t know!

Fi: here. Let me see the lunch box.

(danny carefully hands Fi the lunchbox)

Fi: (points at lunch box with free hand) stop eating our friends you stupid lunch box!

Danny: what are you do-

Fi: give me back my friends! Plus Ruby.

Danny: wow, Fi. even though Ruby's missing you still don’t like him.

Fi: yeah, so?

Danny: nevermind..

Fi: its not working!

Danny: i wonder why….

Fi: you try something.

(fi hands danny the lunchbox)

Danny: um… give me back my friends?.... Please?

Fi: dang it! That didn't work either.

Danny: well, yeah. I don't know what you expected it to do.

Fi: Stop being Possessive you stupid lunch box!

Danny: huh. Wait say that again..

Fi: Possessive lunchbox! Stop being Possessive you lunchbox! Now!

Danny: ah!

(danny throws the lunchbox off. Ruby, Lillian, and ivy enter from where the lunchbox was thrown off)

Fi: it worked?

Danny: i guess…

Fi: what a weird school week…

Danny: im ready for summer break!

Fi: same..

Danny: are you three okay?

Ruby: yeah.

Ivy: thanks to you two.

Lillian: how did you get us out?

Fi and Danny: we just told the lunchbox that it was being Possessive!
