            Kitten Ball!

Materials:

  • A dodgeball for each team

  • One basketball net at the end of one side of the field

  • A baseball bat for each team

Set up:

  • Teams all stand at one end of the field

  • One member of each team holds a baseball bat while the other player holds a dodgeball (teams consist of 2 people)

  • The player holding the dodge ball stands half way down the field, closest to the basketball hoop

  • The player holding the bat stands at the end of the field, farthest from the basketball hoop

How to play:

  • When the referee says go the player with the dodge ball pitches it to the person with the bat

  • If the ball is hit then the person who was holding the ball must catch it while the person holding the bat runs down field to get as close to the basketball hoop as possible, then the player who has caught the ball throws it down field to the player closest to the net, who catches it and throws it into the basketball hoop

  • If the player with the bat does not hit the ball they must throw it back to the other player and try until they hit it. If later on the ball is not caught the player just picks it up and continues with the play

  • If two players arrive at the basketball hoop at the same time they are allowed to tackle(like in football) the other player to get them out of the way

  • First team to get there ball though the basketball net wins the game
